泼水节是傣族最隆重的节日，相当于我们春节，在公历四月中旬，一般持续3至7天。传说在很久以前，金沙江边有一个傣族村寨，因树林起火，村民都困在寨里。一个名叫李良的傣家汉子，为保护村庄和村民，他不畏危险，冲出“火网”，去江边挑来一桶桶水，把火泼灭。经过一天的奔波，火终于灭了，但李良却累得不行，他一头扑进江中，变成了巨龙。人们为了纪念他，便开创了泼水节。

每到泼水节，人们就会拿着脸盆，来到场地，接一盆水，向上或向别人泼去……你瞧！那位男士正用颈向周围的女士泼水，那水还没落地，在空中变成了无数个水滴，非常调皮地往人们身上作文溅。再看看那些女士：有一个女士弯下身子，狼狈地躲避着别人的“攻击”；旁边的两位小姑娘则快速躲开，立马弯下腰准备拿水“反击”，她们脸上也露出了灿烂的笑容；看那两个胖墩墩的妇女，还在擦前面被泼的水珠，毫无准备的被泼了个落汤鸡模样，逗得我们哈哈大笑；小朋友们也在起哄：“哦——哦——，洗澡喽！”大一点便显出一副跃跃欲试的样子，好像准备参加下一轮。围观的人更是不计其数，好多人都举着相机，围着场地转，想照到自己的亲人，口里还不停的大喊：“前面！小心！攻击！”整个场地充满了我们的欢声笑语，那欢乐也印在了我们的心里……
