Common saying says: “ sends a person the rose, the hand has lingering fragrance. ” helps others help his namely, when you go helping others, yourself also may help yourself. E.g. wide for the story that circulate:
俗话说：“赠人玫瑰，手有余香。”帮助别人就是帮助自己，当你去帮助别人时，你自己也可能会帮助到你自己。比如说一个广为流传的故事：

有一天，一个小男孩儿行乞，他走到一个人的家门口时，已经非常非常的饿了。但他看到是一个姐姐时，便害羞了，于是他只向她要了一杯水，但是那个姐姐却免费给了他一杯牛奶。在几年后，当初的那个姐姐得了一种罕见的病，而小男孩已经成为了一名大医生，他认出了那个姐姐，于是他便非常认真的给那个姐姐做手术，手术作文做的很成功，姐姐的病治好了，但她知道，医疗费是很高的。结果她发现，账单上有一行字：“治疗费用，一杯牛奶。”
It is this one example not just, still an example makes a person impressive.
不仅仅是这一个例子，还有一个例子让人印象深刻。

These stories tell us a truth: Wanted to help others only, helped oneself namely.
