小时候去爬宝石山，看到山顶有个石坡，我很想爬上去但是总是不敢，原因是我恐高。看到爬上去的人，我总是很羡慕。有一次我看到有几个和我差不多年纪，甚至比我小的孩子都成功爬上了山顶，我心想：“为什么他们爬得上去，我就不行呢？我一定也可以的！”于是我努力克服恐惧，尝试爬上去。开始几步倒也不满分/难，可是当我越爬越高，心里就越害怕，我知道爬得越高，摔得越疼！这时我看到了一株从石缝中探出来的竹子，我脑中就想到了竹子的坚韧和顽强，我现在离坡顶已经不远了，只要我坚持不懈地往上爬，我就一定能到坡顶。于是，我给自己壮壮胆子，不往下看，努力地爬着。终于我爬到了山顶，那景色漂亮极了，前面是高大的楼房，从高处看更显得壮观，后面就是西湖，水面上停着几艘游船，湖面上被薄薄的雾笼罩着，更显得西湖美轮美奂。这景色比我以前看到的都要美，让我十分难忘！这是我第一次俯视西湖。
