小时候特别喜欢玩水，尤其是夏天，一次趁着家人不注意的时候，我到洗漱间把水龙头打开，用小手在下面接水玩，正玩的高兴的时候，妈妈在外面听到流水的声音，就立刻冲过来，一边快速的把水龙头拧住，一边把我拉出洗漱间，坐到客厅沙发上，妈妈认真的告诉我：“水是人们生命的源泉，是大自然给予我们的恩泽。鱼儿离不开它，人类更离不开它，世界上的一切生物都离不开它，所以我们每个人都要节约用水，不能浪费水。”

从那时起，我不再随便玩水了，在家里用水时也特别注意节约。比如家里打扫卫生时，我会先用一个盆接小半盆水，把抹布放进去沾湿，然后再认真地擦桌椅。一遍下来，白抹布成了黑抹布，洗抹布的水也变浑变黑了。我把污水倒入另外一个桶里，再接小半盆水擦洗第二遍。爸爸见了奇怪地问：“你把这黑水留着干什么呀？”我说：“等一会儿可以冲马桶或浇花呀。”爸爸欣慰的笑了，夸我知道节约用水了。我告诉爸爸，满分/我们以后洗脸和刷牙的水，都可以先倒到一个桶里，最后用它来冲马桶。还有淘米的水也可以浇花、洗衣服的水也可积攒到一个桶里，冲马桶、拖地都行。爸爸听完给我竖起大拇指点了个赞。现在在我们家从姥爷到我，每一位成员都是“节约用水、人人有责”。

经过查阅资料，我知道了我们中国是个人口大国，也是个贫水大国。我们国家的水资源说起来并不算少，水资源总量为2。8万亿立方米，居世界第六位。但是跟我们的总人口相除的话，这些水根本就不够我们使用的。从总体上看，我们中国是一个干旱缺水的国家，为世界13个贫水国之一。而我们国家又是一个发展中的国家，农灌溉、工业更是飞速发展，城市生活需水量几十倍、成百倍地增长。人要喝水，农业要喝水，工业要喝水，城市要喝水……中国水资源的紧缺已向人们亮出了“黄牌”。我们每个人都要节约用水了。
