在我眼中，蔡元培是一个有修养没架子的人。从文章阅读中，我对蔡元培的第一印象就是不摆架子。从古自今有多少人爱摆架子，不扯远的，就拿我的一些老师来说吧。在学生面前，总把腰挺得直直的，衣服和腰之间总留有缝隙，头扬的高高的，总让别人觉得自己不容小觑。自己心情不好，就拿我们晚修有点吵为借口，向我们大发雷霆，骂完了，像一尊石像似的坐在讲台上，露出一点“威”笑，不让人感到有内涵，反倒给人一种嚣张至极的感觉。而蔡元培就不同了，一进校门就给校工们鞠躬致敬，无论是比他年长的还是年幼的，显示出一种做人的修养。这是我眼中平等的蔡元培。

在我眼中，蔡元培也是一个在思想上兼容并包的人。在1917年的北大，那里各种理论，各种学派，相互斗争，互不相让。这不正让北大校园里重演了两千多年前的百家争鸣吗？中国的多少成就是来自于那时，思想本来就不是只有一家之说的，但这种绝对的儒家思想在中国持续了两千多年，而蔡元培在这种如此腐败的社会风气，如此恶劣的思想环境下，竟有如此先进的思想，还有勇气向众人传播是非常了不起的，正如蔡元培的办学思想提倡——思想自由，兼容并包，才使北大形成了自己独立的思想，影响了一代代的北大人。

在我眼中，让我最佩服的是蔡元培更是一个清廉的人。曾为国家做出巨大贡献，获得成就的人并不少，但在此之后还能控制住自己的行为，抵制诱惑，保持清廉的人就少之又少了。像中国近代的铁道部部长刘志军就是一个典型的例子。他开创了中国高铁建设的先河，为中国解决了春运难题，但最终因受贿而被捕。但蔡元培呢，他死后没有一分财产，还欠下了千来块医药费。在功成名就后，仍能约束自己的行为，不会个人谋福利，而以天下为己任，如此清廉之人，舍蔡元培还有谁？
