走进公园大门，一眼望去，公园内桥连桥、水连水、山连山，好一派湿地风景。走过几座桥，游过一片草地。后面的便是梅山了。因为汉代的一位有识之士曾居于此山附近，所以此山便以其姓梅为名。往梅山之上爬去有一方泉水，泉水清凉，清澈见底。据说此泉过百年而长流不息！爬到梅山山顶，就看见了适南亭。适南亭一名取自《庄子·逍遥游》。取大鲲脱骨成大鹏向南飞之意。适南亭正面面壁之上刻着陆游祖父陆佃所写的《适南亭记》。有着裂缝的木板之上满分/刻着一个个上了绿色的字迹，显得古老陈旧，而这其中的语言又是在现代文中看不到的。记载了许多当时的历史事件，以及人文环境等。
