故事发生在战争年代，有一个小伙子因南北朝鲜战争，离开了他的哥哥和母亲。小伙每天都思念着自己的亲人，水饭不进，痛不欲生，于是他千里迢迢来到普济寺，慕名找到老僧释圆，希望可以让自己重新见到自己的亲人。老曾释圆微微一笑说：“这也不难，你只需要每天点一炷香，从不间断，你终会有一天能见到你的亲人。”小伙作文儿谢过老曾释圆便回到家，每天都烧一支香。当他点到八千八百八十八支的时候，政府突然下了一道命令，南朝鲜和北朝鲜可以探亲了。于是小伙子便坐上轮船，见到了他日夜思念的亲人。回来以后，每见到人他都说：“请每天点一支香吧，你一定会收获真诚。”
