外婆家后面一块空地，被邻居的一位阿婆拿来种植农作物。有青菜、红萝卜、白萝卜，还有几样我不认识的植物。太阳好的时候我就跟着外婆去地里玩，外婆在拔萝卜和青菜，我就在旁边蹦蹦跳跳玩泥土。地里呆上半天，太阳晒得我的背和头发都热热的，可暖和了。外婆一摸我的脖子，竟还微微出汗了，于是赶紧带我回家，生怕把我晒黑了。然后用水冲洗了一根新摘的胡萝卜给我吃，我嘎嘣嘎嘣地咬着，甜滋滋，催催的，比我在城里吃的那些好吃多了。外婆还会把白萝卜切成一小片一小片的，用酱油和糖腌起来，到第二天，我就可以吃上这些脆甜咸香的腌萝卜了。作为小馋猫的我，在这里可是嘴巴一天到晚停不下来的。
